Drilling works

Geological exploratory works are implemented by drilling exploratory wells. Drilling of wells is conducted by drilling devices of URB – 2A2 and UGB – 1VS brand mounted in the chassis of Kamaz – 43114 and Gaz – 66.

These field works are a major part of engineering and geological studies and serve to study the soils spread on the upper parts of earth’s crust.

Merely as a result of drilling, geological – lithological cuts of the areas where buildings and structures will be located at, including the depth of spread of layers, their thickness, and lithological composition are studied and rock samples are taken from the soils found for the purposes of laboratory study.

Rock sampling from wells is carried out by means of one layer, two layer and “Shelby tube” type sample taker during drilling.
